about
I'm a Launch Comms Analyst at Blue Origin, where I build and maintain the communication systems and mission control centers behind New Glenn launches. I hold a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Oklahoma, and my path here ran through aerospace software at Boeing, identity & security consulting, and front-line IT support. Now I work across all of it: infrastructure, IT, and the technical writing that makes complex systems legible.
The throughline is translation. As a Boeing intern I turned requirements into aerospace training software; as a consultant I turned access policies into working IAM; supervising a help desk I turned 700+ users' problems into resolutions and audit-ready docs; in DevOps I turn infrastructure into something reliable and repeatable. Writing isn't a pivot away from engineering; it's the same instinct pointed at the page.
the path
- New Glenn Launch Comms IT Analyst II Build and maintain the communication systems and mission control centers behind New Glenn launches: Terraform-deployed servers, Ansible-hardened RHEL, a Kubernetes-based Harvester platform hosting containerized microservices, Juniper networking, and hands-on racking and stacking. I keep every template in version-controlled, 100%-auditable repos and stand up Hardware-in-the-Loop labs to validate comms ahead of launch. Most of the job is translation: turning messy infrastructure into standards and guidance other people can follow.
- Help Desk Supervisor (promoted from Technician) Started as a technician resolving software, hardware, and connectivity issues for 700+ users (Team Member of the Quarter, Q4 2024), then promoted to supervise a team of 5 in a secure, compliance-driven environment. Managed device fleets with Intune, Autopilot, and Active Directory across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android; administered IAM, RBAC, group policy, and Exchange; and built the SOPs, training, and audit-ready knowledge base the team resolved against, lifting first-contact resolution 10% and overall ticket resolution 17%.
- IAM Integration Consultant Implemented identity & access management in client environments with SailPoint (identities, groups, domains, rules, and firewalls), and served as head consultant for unit testing across every user-story requirement, from identity lifecycle to privileged access.
- Software Engineer Intern Designed, built, and deployed aerospace training applications for AWACS flight engineers (C#, .NET, WPF, XAML, VB), replacing costly in-flight training with on-the-ground programs. Managed SQL Server databases up to 100,000 rows across 40 tables, reviewed pull requests, expanded the application documentation, and helped lead the AWACS program's first waterfall-to-Agile/Scrum transition.
- B.S. Computer Science, minor in Mathematics The foundation.
